Common Ear Treatment: Liver Damp Heat - Long Dan Xie Gan Tang, Chai Hu Qing Gan Tang Calm Liver Wind - Tian Ma Gou Teng Yin, Zhen Gan Xi Feng Tang Kidney Deficiency - Zuo Ci Wan
Common Ear Diseases:
Pre-Auricular Fistula (anterior) - during fetal development usually a one sided area anterior of the ear does not form properly leaving an open hole. Chronic - Liver and Kidney Deficiency - more itchiness, deficient pain, thick scaly flaking dead skin Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan + expel wind heat herbs Acute - Damp Heat and Toxic heat symptoms Pu Ji Xiao Du Yin External Treatment: Chronic - Qing Dai Gao Acute - San Huang San Auricular Cyst - pseudo cyst of auricular (phlegm nodules) acute onset with swelling, numbness, no change in skin color, may be multiple swellings Er Chen Tang + (blood mover) Dang Gui + Zao Jiao Ci, Bai Zhi, Yi Yi Ren, Bian Xu With infection - Jing Jie Pi, Du Huo, Mang Xiao, Shi Cang Pu External Treatment - Mang Xiao
Auricular Furuncle (local area infected/boil) - usually acute, severe pain, swelling, difficult painful jaw movements aggravated at night, possible local lymph swelling Wu Wei Xiao Du Yin
