Common Throat Disorders:

Acute Pharyngitis - exterior pathogenic invasion of throat blocking the jing lou. In western medicine it is an acute inflammation of the pharynx usually due to a streptococcus bacterium. It is characterized by a sore throat, painful swallowing and inflammation.
Wind Heat - fever, aversion to cold, aversion to wind, painful swallowing, dry throat, dry mouth, headache, local area redness and swelling with local lymph node inflammation.

With constipation - Gua Lou Ren, Tian Hua Fen
With wind cold transforming into wind heat - Jing Jie, Fang Feng
