LI 1 - toothache, sore throat, Heat diseases
Location (shangyang):
on the radial side of the index finger, 1 fen proximal to the corner
of the nail.
LI 4 - [Command points of
face & mouth, Yuan-source]
headache, red sore eyes, nosebleed, sore throat, facial paralysis,
menstrual block, diarrhea &/or constipation
Location (hegu):
when squeezing thumb against index finger, it is the highest points
on the bulge, needled close to the 2nd metacarpal bone.
LI 5 - headache, red sore eyes, toothache, sore
throat, deafness/ tinnitus
Location (yangxi):
on the wrist line between the 2 tendons connected to the thumb
(extensor pollicis brevis
& extensor pollicis longus).
LI 6 - [Connect to LU]
edema, inhibited urine, nosebleed, deafness
Location (pianli):
one quarter of the way between the line connecting LI 5 & LI 11.
LI 7 - [Xi-Cleft]
headache, facial swelling, abdominal pain
Location (wenliu):
on the line connecting LI 5 & LI 11, 2 cun
above LI 6.
LI 10 - abdominal pain, vomit, diarrhea
Location (shousanli):
2 cun below LI 11
LI 11 - [Ghost points] sore throat, clear Heat,
vomit, dysentry
Location (quchi):
at the end of the lateral crease of the elbow when flexed.
LI 14 - [meet w/ SI & BL] local, scrofula
Location (binao):
at the distal insertion of the deltoid (where it comes to a points on
the humerus)
LI 15 - local, scrofula
Location (jianyu):
directly below the anterior border of the acromion,
where a depression is
formed when the arm is abducted.
LI 16 - local, scrofula
Location (jugu): in the triangle depression between the acromial extremity of the clavicle & the spine of
the scapula.
LI 20 -
nasal congestion/bleeding, facial paralysis & swelling
Location (yingxiang): in the naso-labial
groove, at the level of the midpoints of the lateral border of the ala nasi (flared/winged part of nostril)
