Ren 1 - [intersection of Ren, Du, & Chong] reproductive
problems, boosts KI,
regulates Ren & Chong
Location (huiyin): midway between the anus & scrotum
Ren 2 - [intersection of LR] warms Yang &
KI, regulates menses, stops leukorrhea
Location (qugu): on the midline, at the upper border of
the pubic symphysis, 5 cun below the umbilicus.
Ren 3 - [Alarm-Mu of BL,
intersection of LR KI SP] BL problems (w/ BL 60), regulates LR, warms
KI, irregular menses
Location (zhongji): 1 cun superior to qugu
Ren 4 - [Alarm-Mu of SI,
intersection of LR KI SP] stongly tonifying, strengthens
& warms KI, returns Yang,
warm & regulate LR, Cold/Damp, separates clear &
turbid, regulates Yuan Qi, dispels pathogens, boosts immune system
& overall health, reproductive & BL problems, ↓
Wind strike, (w/
ST 36 very strong tonify)
Location (guanyuan): 1 cun above zhongji
Location (shimen): 2 cun below the umbilicus.
Ren 6 - tonify Qi & Yang, drain, harmonize Ying-Xue, menstrual disorders, warm low Jiao,
turbid Damp, diarrhea & constipation.
Location (qihai): 1.5 cun below umbilicus.
Ren 7 - [intersection of Ren, & Chong] warm/tonify
KI Yang, regulates menses & blood
Location (yinjiao): 1 cun below umbilicus.
Ren 8 - Moxa only, warm Yuan Yang,
open portals, moves GI Qi, Cold/Damp, ↓ Wind strike, incessant
diarrhea.
Location (shenque): in the center of the umbilicus.
Ren 9 - water retention, moves SP, edema, borborygmi
Location (shuifen): 1 cun superior to the umbilicus.
Ren 10 - digestion
Location (xiawan): 2 cun above the umbilicus.
Location (zhongwan): 4 cun superior to the umbilicus, halfway
between the umbilicus & the sternocostal angle.
Ren 13 - emotions causing digestive problems (calm
spirit), Phlegm
Location (shangwan): 3 cun below sternocostal angle.
Ren 14 - [Alarm
Mu of HT] clear HT, stabilize spirit, phlegm in chest,
cardiothoracic pain, esophageal constriction, palpitation,
insomnia,
depression
Location (juque): 2 cun below the sternocostal angle.
Ren 15 - [connect
to abdomen] loosen chest (phlegm), rebel LU ST Qi, cardiothoracic
pain, calm spirit
Location (jiuwei): 1 cun below sternocostal angle.
Ren 17 - [Alarm
Mu of PC, Qi Hui-influential] regulate Qi of whole body,
hiccup, promotes lactation
Location (tanzhong): between the nipples, level with the 4th
intercostals space.
Ren 22 - loss of voice, hiccup, clear LU &
pharynx (cough,
sore throat, dyspnea)
Location (tiantu): above the suprasternal notch in the
suprasternal fossa.
Location (lianquan): on the anterior midline of the neck, in
the depression above the hyoid bone.
Ren 24 - [Ghost points] wind, Bell’s
paulsy (wryness of
face), dental pain/swelling, mania/withdrawal
Location (chengjiang):
above the chin in the depression in the center of the mentolabial
groove.
