Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
Chronic inflammation of connective tissue which can involve the joints,
kidneys, serous surfaces and vessel walls. It occurs predominately in young
women but also effects children. Macule or
papules may appear and can be round, irregular or butterfly shaped. The
eruptions will appear as small red slightly raised papules with slight
flaking skin which have big follicles under the dry skin. Whole body
symptoms include a slight fever, fatigue, achy/painful joints and a heat
sensation where the eruptions occur. If local area is on the scalp hair
roots will look bent.
