Also Known As: American Indigo, Baptista Tinctoria, False Indigo, Horsefly Weed, Indigo Broom, Rattlebush, Yellow Broom, Yellow Indigo. Baptista tinctoria. Family: Leguminosae or Fabaceae.

It has been used topically for cleaning open and inflamed wounds.
