Babies and Mothers…

by @ 7:42 am. Filed under General

It is duity of the the mother to bath for the Mother for the baby and mother should carefully message the baby, both mother and baby throughly enjoy this excercise.
If Father is oppourtune to watch this act, it is highly welcome. This is excercise is a tradition practise in Africa Nigeria Mothers, who know the benefit of bathing for the a baby.
I recall vividly that my Mother told me that she do message us whenever she is bathing for us.Message is excellent way to tune a baby Muscles and make it feel relaxed. While messaging, Mother do sing for the Baby.Baby do Gurgles and Smiles back and it is a wonderful experience for mother who witness this act.
Messaging a baby is not only singing for baby but it is a way of praying for the baby becuase there are some songs that has to do with prayer. All this prayer songs serves as spiritual quided for the baby, and this has alot of impact in context of life as far as human being is concerned. We are all know that Life is full of war and the strugle of man begin from child Birth.
Infact, messaging is common in many lands and it has becoming more popular in many homes expecialy in Africa where mother value messaging.
What is infact message?A message that subtle, Tender and pleasant teachnigue that enables a parents to communicate physically and emotionally with the baby.It includes a saries of gentle yet firm strokes of the baby feet and legs as well as back,Chest, Stomarch, Arms and faces.
I asked my Mother this question:What a baby derive from message? and she replied”A feeling of love and tenderness, this excercise serves as a parent affectionate becuase a new born baby need not only fed but he or she also need to recievea parential affection.
The sense of touch develop early in life.Gentle messaging by parents communicate this love in a tangible way, it can be transform physically and emotionally to a baby.
Message a baby can heip to cement a bond of affection between parents and their baby right from Birth.
Apart from expressing love, messaging teach a baby to relax, which may contribute or enhance a longer sound sleep and less stress to a baby.
Message may also heip to tone muscles as well as regulate the Circulatory Digestive and Respiratory Systems.Besides, Immmune systems benefit from this excercise, becuase the baby senses of Touch,Sight and Sound are stimulated which aslo encourage Memory learning.
Some expects have looking into value of this, what they deduces as follows:one study found that premature babies who were mesasage could leave the Hopsital earlier than those who were not messaged and they had an increase weight gain up to 47 poercent compared with the later.
To best knowledge, Adult arenot the only one who value and benefit from a good rubdowm:of Course for babies, a message is more than just a rub, it is love expressed by warm hands and gentle fingers along with a big smiles.
May lord gives all fathers and Mothers in the world long life and good health so they can witness the better day of their childrens, expecially Mother who surfered alot. The pains Mother surfed during the pregnancy, and during the labouring labour room. The primary job of women is child rearing and more power to thier elbow and I pray for them to eat the friut of thier labour.
I thanks my mother for being nurse till today and my lord give her long life.

by @ 1:29 am. Filed under General

i just heard this sad story of a week old baby having some sort of brain hemorrhage and suddenly went into a coma. i think half the brain is ‘dead’. and the nurses were trying to convince the parents to pull the cord. the baby is suppose to be able to breath on its own, but no one knew for how long. at this moment, i don’t know what happened.
question. what is the tcm approach? does anyone think that we could have helped in any way? can aggressive acupuncture move the blood stagnation?

Words from a Nigerian Herbalist…

by @ 11:03 am. Filed under General, Medicinals & Herbs

I believe that everyone is unique; everyone has a special set of talents, and skills. Everyone in some unique way is here to make a difference on our planet - Earth. This is what I believe. My vision & mission is that I should not just exist as human being. I need to make my mark towards the success of global health care delivery.
I recall learning about, a famous & prolific herbalist. The legend says that he was the worlds first Herbalist in China. He was a Chinese mythological Emperor, late Shen Nung (3400B.D.) He made immense contribution to the development of Herbalism in China. There was another great Herbalist in Africa, the late Chief Dr. J.O Lambo
(a.k.a The Guru traditional Medicine). He was the first permanent secretary and the first President of Board of traditional Herbal medicine in Africa. He made many efforts to sustained Herbal medicine in Africa. He won the battle in discussions between the Orthodox and Herbal medicine in California in 1947. He made his efforts to make the herbal medicine to become the toast of people in Africa and world generally.Another famous person associated with herbalism is Dr. John .R. Christopher. He’s an American citizen that has written many books and promoted herbal medicine in U.S. They all do their best to sustain research and develop a qualitative & curative herbal medicine and bring back life into humanity. Although, many of these people are no longer living they left a great mark behind. What will people say about me when I am gone? I want them to say that Imade a difference in the health of people. Making a public awareness in pages of papers is not enough for in development of herbal medicine in Africa. Much more needs to be done!! We need to organize seminars, to establish school of Natural Healing and teach people how to make a herbal medicine to pass on the traditions of our forefathers. I want to see a non-governmental organization that will be responsible free treatment for those who need it. My Mission is to take Herbal Medicine to greater heights than ever before. To have more exposure and have a professional certificate in area of herbs and health. I would like to be respected among my peers and fellow herbalists throughout the world. Although, I have a busy schedule here in Nigeria,
I still manage to have time for relaxation. My current goal is to move with those in western Wolrd to exch ange idea togetehr so we can put an end to the problem confronting our people in our locality and aslo to promote herbal medicine that I endowed from my grandfather. I feel that this will be a great benefit to fellow human beings. The world needs to know the benefits of our gifts from nature (Herbs
and Roots). Many do not need drugs they need nutrients from our soils. They need nutrients that are free from pollutants and toxins too.We all need to stand together – as in the phrase “all hands on deck”.I believe that I can achieve this goal if I can access available moral advice, spiritual support and financial assistance. The opportunity that I have is what I am using to taking healing to the doorstep of humanity in my community. But, if I am opportunity to have
international exposure and certificate I think that I still perform more than that. It will fasten more research, develop qualitative and curative Herbal Medicine &bring back life into humanity. I intend to contribute my quota to the success of Global Health Care Delivery. I am desperately to mingle with Africans Herbal Medicine Practitioners with other parts of Globe Herbalists. There must be round table between there Herbalists in regards of colors, culture, wealth, religion and age. All hands need to be on deck to check the problem of AIDS/HIV in every parts of the world.

prostate cancer

by @ 6:04 pm. Filed under General, Medicinals & Herbs, News & Research

I’m a prostate cancer patient and just heard of a study at the U of Texas reporting that phellodendron amurense (huang bai) kills prostate cancer cells in lab tests. They tested an herbal called “nexrutine.” Can someone tell me if I can make a tea from huang bai.? Also, would it be most potent to take huang bai in concentrated form in a supplement or would tea be better? How much can I take daily? Thanks for any help you may give.

how does a choppy pulse feel?

by @ 9:23 am. Filed under General

I am a new practitioner (2 years new) and am struggling with the subjective interpretations of a pulse. This is one of the experiences (among many) that cannot be taught in books. Ultimately learning the pulse comes from personal experience. Is there anyone with enough experience that can try an explain to me how to identify the choppy pulse?? I feel and feel and feel, but often don’t know how to interpret what I am feeling.
